Pastor Dylan started our service on 2nd Corinthians chapter 8 which tells us to finish what we started and give eagerly of what you do have. He talked about tithing and giving our finances to God.

On the way to church today I had been thinking about tithing and how I should but never feel like I have enough to give. Hearing the scripture say “give eagerly according to your means” really connected with me. I may not have much but what I do have I should trust with God.

The second half of service was given to us by Pastor Selena about life gaps. The gap between where we are and where we want to be is something that is ever-present in our lives. We are always trying to be better or do more and sometimes that can be disheartening or stressful. She suggested that we take time to reflect on the gap of where we were to where we are now. Thinking back on that for me is a huge difference, from a college student relying on my parents to a certified music teacher providing for myself.

I have committed my finances to God and I want to be a part of what fills the gap for our church on where we are to where we want to be. I’m very excited for the steps we are taking and are about to take. And as Pastor Selena said "we reap what we sow," and I can’t wait to see what the church reaps from what it is sowing now. Pastor Dylan asked us a question that really stood out and I will leave it with you. Do you believe God can do it again?
